Amazon in talks to acquire Decart for around $7B

Amazon is negotiating to buy AI startup Decart for about $7 billion (Wall Street Journal), a premium over the $6B deal Anthropic explored and abandoned after diligence in September. Decart's Optimization Stack lets developers run AI workloads across Nvidia GPUs, Google TPUs, and Amazon Trainium, plus two world models for video editing and robotics training. The play is chip independence: locking in the abstraction layer that moves customers onto Trainium.
