   13th Oct 2026

A third-party IT security incident took the Housing Ombudsman's case management system, online form, landlord portal and web chat offline. In an email to affected people, the Ombudsman said contact details such as names, addresses and telephone numbers may have been copied; its public statement says it is still investigating whether personal information was affected, and it has notified the Information Commissioner's Office. Filed under Cybersecurity, not Breaches, because copying of data is not yet confirmed.
